This morning I chose to look up what the Business Insider indicates are “The top 9 shows on Netflix and other streaming services this week” as of March 28 –
I have to admit, based on what I have seen online, I was surprised that “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness” was not listed as #1. I’ve received texts from friends and family discussing the show and seen it referenced in a number of memes as well as articles. The Husband and I chose to dive into it this weekend and were shocked – Murder, Mayhem and Madness is certainly present. Just when I thought things could not get more crazy – THEY WOULD! With the heaviness of what is going on in the world around us perhaps we should spend more time perusing the Disney+ lineup, however, we were hooked. It may seem like a strange comparison, but while watching the final episodes of “Tiger King” I began thinking about the movie “Just Mercy”; while I do not want to discuss the politics behind how I connected the two, I do want to encourage those that have not seen the film to do so. It was one of the most thought provoking and difficult films for me to watch in recent months. The premise had me challenging my own personal thoughts, feelings, and preconceived notions regarding the death penalty and legal system within this country. Is there anything that you consider to be a “must watch”? Stay Safe. Be Kind.
