Unfortunately, I know a few people that have been in this situation. Take a second to review the information - it may kick in at just the right moment.
I did not create the image, nor do I have any rights to the art or guide. It was stumbled upon online and features useful information.
Our dog is splitting her time pretty evenly between laying in the sunshine by Dad's desk and working under Mom's feet. She is in desperate need of a bath and haircut. Anytime my husband or I grab keys in recent weeks she believes she is getting to go on a car ride and somewhere fun. I can't imagine how upset she will be when soon one of those rides ends at one of her least favorite places: the groomer.
How are your pets doing during this time?
Please send us pictures @hester.insurance.nm on Facebook - we would love to see their faces.
This morning I chose to look up what the Business Insider indicates are “The top 9 shows on Netflix and other streaming services this week” as of March 28 –
I have to admit, based on what I have seen online, I was surprised that “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness” was not listed as #1. I’ve received texts from friends and family discussing the show and seen it referenced in a number of memes as well as articles. The Husband and I chose to dive into it this weekend and were shocked – Murder, Mayhem and Madness is certainly present. Just when I thought things could not get more crazy – THEY WOULD! With the heaviness of what is going on in the world around us perhaps we should spend more time perusing the Disney+ lineup, however, we were hooked.
It may seem like a strange comparison, but while watching the final episodes of “Tiger King” I began thinking about the movie “Just Mercy”; while I do not want to discuss the politics behind how I connected the two, I do want to encourage those that have not seen the film to do so. It was one of the most thought provoking and difficult films for me to watch in recent months. The premise had me challenging my own personal thoughts, feelings, and preconceived notions regarding the death penalty and legal system within this country.
Is there anything that you consider to be a “must watch”?
Stay Safe. Be Kind.

The nation and the world is facing a global pandemic unlike anything we’ve faced in our lifetimes. It is my perspective that we have been inundated with information - whether the constant headlines or updates on a cell phone, to the daily briefings, consistent emails from companies, and social media posts from those near and far - I hope everyone chooses to review the information to their comfort level. When information is accessed or sought out, I do ask that you receive information from reputable sources such as The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and The World Health Organization (WHO) – both websites are linked below.
As an insurance agent, I often find myself looking at things in a ‘worst case scenario perspective’, but with the consistent stream of information pertaining to COVID-19 I am instead trying a ‘how can I mitigate mine and my families risk against this virus’ approach. My husband has received orders to work from home and is sitting in his makeshift office in our dining room and I am typing this from my home office. While I would consider us home bodies normally, we are staying in even more than what we normally would and are attempting to catch up on movies we may have missed in the theater. We have chosen to go out as little as possible, limiting trips to the grocery store, gas station, post office, etc. to once a week, and all on the same day. We are using hand sanitizer when in public (thankfully we were able to find some!) and washing our hands as soon as we walk in the door.
Two people that I love dearly are nurses; while they aren’t on the front lines, they do not have the luxury of staying in and working remotely. Many of you are stocking shelves, interacting with customers, and transporting the goods that people are trying to locate. I am grateful for you and thankful for what you are doing.
This post is simply to let everyone know that I am here and available to you for all of your insurance needs. I have chosen to not conduct in person meetings during this time; I do, however, look forward to seeing you face to face in coming months. Please remember that we are ALL in this together and one small act of kindness and empathy may speak even more loudly today than it would have a mere month ago.
Be kind, stay safe, remain smart.

Today I came across an article from Business Insider that lists the "Top Netflix, streaming shows". Of the 9 listed I have watched 1 show in its entirety, and episodes of another. My incredible husband has watched 3 of the shows entirely. It is my perception that we are in a unique (and wonderful age) when it comes to film and TV. The general constraints for time, advertisements, etc. may still exist to some degree, but they are far less rigid than in days past. What have YOU tuned into lately that is worth a watch?
Make sure that the devices you stream on are protected - give HI! a call for an insurance review.

I've been in the Insurance Biz for most of my adult life. When not educating about coverage, I love board games, movies, spending time with my people and dog, watching baseball games & TV.
